Countries Starting with "B"

Belarusian Pop-Band Litesound hits the stage with "We are The Heroes"

Well, here's another Pop Song, composed by the handsome boygroup Litesound. Founded by the brothers Vladimir and Dmitry Karyakin in 2005, the band has been popular both within Belarus and internationally, winning several festivals and prices. The song has a catchy melody and a positive mood to it. Let's see how they perform in the Semifinals on 22nd May! Good Luck!

Iris sings: "Would You" - get a chance to win ESC? Maybe?

So, Belgium has decided now. 17-year old Laura van de Bruel, better known for her artist's name Iris, will perform "Would You", a standard ballad.....the melody of which, we believe, has been heard many times in other songs. It would be really surprising if Belgium climbed high in this year's ESC....even though Iris is quite a charming girl...

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Piano-Lady Maya Sar sings her heart out in "Korake ti znam"

Starting small as a backing singer, Maya Sar has actually performed in ESC already, in 2004 and 2011. This time, she will perform as a soloist in the awesome ballad "Korake ti znam", which she composed herself. Her husband, Mahir Sarihodzic, arranged the piece. Let's look at the song in more detail: the song means "I know your steps" in Bosnian, and deals with a woman's despair of leaving her loved one. She feels entrapped in a spiders' web when he leaves her. With a nice music video and a beautiful melody, "Korake ti znam" leaves us with the impression of being a totally genuine, simple and likeable song. Although we don't quite understand the significance of the treble clef at the end of the music video ;)

Sofi Marinova performs dance-fusion song "Love Unlimited"

"Love Unlimited". The song, critics say, has a potential to become a summer-hit in 2012, because of its unique fusion of dance-beats and ethno-folk-elements. In fact, Bulgaria's 36 year old Sofi Marinova is known for her pop-folk songs, as well as her amazing 5-octave range. Take a listen and tell us what you think.
