Countries starting with "A"

Albania: Rona Nishliu performs "Suus"

Kosovo-Albanian singer Rona Nishliu performs "Suus" and even composed the text herself. 25 year old Rona was a contestant in the 2004 Albanian Idol, in which she came in the top five. She also works as a radio presenter for Radio Blue Sky, Pristina.
"Suus", which means "Silence" in Latin, is indeed a very symbolic song that deals with the passing of time and neglect. The video itself is equally symbolic....all in all, "Suus" tries to tell us that we have forgotten our pasts and that time has no time for us anymore. If you ask us, we believe that the song and its music video are qualitatively very high, but the theme of the song may be beyond Eurovision.
Not many will appreciate this song, especially because it is not thoroughly understood without the lyrics. For those who appreciate poetry and symbolism, check them out:

Austria: Trackshittaz pull off a fun song called "Woki mit deim Popo"

Austria is being extremely daring for this year's entry to Eurovision. The band, the "Trackshittaz" from the small Upper Austrian town of Freistadt was founded by Lukas Plöchl, who has always been known for "original" lyrics to his songs. Last year, Plöchl was one of the pre-contestants for the Austrian entry with "Oida Taunz", but lost to Nadine Beiler's soulful ballad "The Secret Is Love". A real pity that Lukas' lyrics are not able to be understood by everyone...."Woki mit deim Popo" is however clearly meant to be a fun song and not to be meant seriously. Unlike others believe, we don't think the song has vulgar references. All what the Trackshittaz intend is to make Europe dance for a while (with glow-in-the-dark dancers)! Will the Austrians "shake their asses" to the final? Lets see!

Azerbaijanis will always believe music never dies in Baku

Our wonderful host country will try to convince us with an emotional ballad paired with powerful vocals. Vocal-Music graduate Sabina Babayeva, popular within Azerbaijan mainly because of her work in the series "Beyaz Heyat", has already been one of the candidates for Eurovision in 2011. Her ballad "When The Music Dies" is filled with emotion, although we think that the melody is quite common and has references to popdivas such as Mariah Carey. Will Azerbaijan succeed to climb to the top like it did last year with "When The Music Dies"? Well, not quite. Last year's entry was more catchy, had more potential.
